All in their early 20s, TSUKIYAKI captures the highs, lows, and everything in between of growing up, with the hope that their music becomes a coming-of-age anthem for a new generation. freereina! is a project about catharsis. Their dense, euphoric songwriting weaves through a multilayered DNA: equally indebted to Japanese indie rock’s emotive maximalism, hypergaze assaults via Shibuya-kei terrain; mathy emo confessionals dripping through glittering electronics; stream-of-consciousness lyricism accompanying indie-pop sweetness. Born from a new age of digital melancholia, their wall of guitars craft songs that resonate with a deep piercing blue.
